If you have to have something "yesterday", it is hard to beat the C&E Best Badger.

BUT, if you can hold out a bit, the new B&B Essential brush looks like the best way to go!

OK. Everybody in unison: C&E Best Badger Brush.

A mainstay around these parts for a great brush at a great value.
    Cheers,

I know that the word "value" has been attached to this brush quite a bit, but has there been anything firmed up as far as price? Can we assume a price tag of less than $50?

    Paul,

I'm fairly sure I remember reading that the BBE will be around the $50 mark. If it is, and it performs as well as it looks, then it will be the top contender for "best deal under $50". The C&E Best Badger, regardless, is still an excellent brush but the BBE looks to be even better. My C&E Best is also starting to shed more than I'd like, and as far as I know it's not an old brush.

It'll be $50 - or less, or it will never go past the first 50 brushes

Being $50 or less is the key/primary purpose for this brush - to offer a brush that is stellar for soaps AND creams, that leaves little, to nothing to be desired , and for a reasonable price. While the C&E BBB is a fine brush - it leaves much to be desired, and often people purchase it, only to then purchase another brush, or several other brushes. The goal is that for the same price - or a little bit more $, you can get a HELL of a lot more brush, that doesn't have you thinking "well what about XYZ brush."

It isn't intended to be the "end all be all" - it's intended to be the BEST deal out there for what you're getting. If it isn't $50 or less, it isn't the BEST deal out there, and it makes the whole think moot in my opinion.

Got a C and E Best for Christmas and believe what has been said of them-value. Very pleased with it. I understand the Kingsley Pure Badger is a good value also (but it is pure badger which if I understand the brush taxonomy correctly, is a level below best badger).

If you're in Oklahoma, I'd go to Guenron's Shave Shack, lure him outdoors with few sprays of T&H 1805, then rush in and grab whatever you can in the next 3 minutes!
