Shavemac Finest or Silvertip?

I would like to get a Shavemac as I've read good things about their high density while maintaining softness. I hate scrubby. (As a reference, as good as it is, my Rooney 3/1 Super is almost too scrubby for me. I know, I'm in the minority.) I'm looking at their smaller brushes, 21-23mm. Is there a big difference between the Finest and Silvertip? Does anyone have one of each and could give me a comparison and advice?

Dave, I got a Shavemac in Silvertip for Christmas and I was amazed at how soft the tips were on this brush. I've never tried the Finest, but have read several posts saying that there is little difference between the two grades. If you hate scrubby then I can recommend the Shavemac silvertip.

I have one in finest, and the bristles are almost indistinguishable from another maker's brush in "super silvertip". It's such a good brush, I don't know if it's worth paying the extra money for silvertip.

I have one of each, in 23mm. There is a little difference, but not a lot. First, the silvertip is maybe just a hair (no pun) denser. For softness, I can tell a little difference feeling the dry bristles. But wet, with lather, they are both very soft, and I find it hard to tell the difference. The Silvertip might, possibly just because of a little more density, but a touch firmer. Firmer, not more scrubby.

Normally, I would say no real difference, and go with money/aesthetics. That said, if you are so anti-scrubby that you find Rooney Super a touch scrubby, and cost is not too critical, you might get the Silvertip, because I would say that while the difference is marginal, it is there.
