What's new

Darkroom Wiki

Ok citizens, who has the gumption to get, The Darkroom, started in the wiki?
Presumably it would be #9 under this heading-->http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Gentlemanly_Indulgences

I will lend my knowledge to it as much as I may, but my writing is circumspect at best. My plate is also fairly full in real life, so wrapping my head around wiki code and boot strapping it is going to take help. Actually time, but that time may be best spent getting y'all to help.

Who's in? What do we want it to contain? How do we want it laid out?

Thank y'all,

--Allen

You are the man. Thank you, sir.
Let me think about the layout, and maybe get a few of the folks here to chime in.

this is what i did for the nib

TOC

1- The Nib
Welcome bit, with some general info about who and what we are

2- pens
little write up about fine writing vs disposable pens nothing big just and intro

2.1 dip pen info
2.2 FP info
2.3 Rollar ball (gell cartridge inserts and the like)

3- Nibs
4-Inks
5-Filling systems
6- Paper
7- Writing Techniques
8- accessories (Blotters wax seals, stuff like that)
9- Starting out information
10- vendors, a link to the vendor page

if you can come up with something similar, and post it like that it should be no trouble trouble to build it, just that structure for the nib one took me about 5 or 6 minutes to do so that part is easy, once its in place it simple for anyone to go in and fill the content out as you only need to add text in the edit boxes and dont have to monkey with any of the code

for yours it I would chim in a bit just to get some creative juices flowing

iso, exposure... f-stop, dof, lighting, etc
Those trip me up more than anything, especially how to set all of that
If anyone knows of a simple way to explain how to set that stuff so dummies can remember it
