Taking inspiration from a thread about creams found here: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=24774 I thought I'd ask if anyone could tell me about experiences with soaps that REALLY soften your beard?

Golddachs Spezial. I've heard that it's high ph makes hairs soft very fast.

Absolutely. Must be the lanolin, since Musgo cream does the same for me.
HoneyBee_Spa soaps. Great shaves. Top notch. Don't know why I ever use anything else, other than I've already got a bunch of other stuff and don't want it to go to waste. Still, I always come back to HBS.

Indeed. I know I'm a HBS homer, but it's damn good stuff. I think it has aloe, shea butter, and clay in it to soften.
Tabac does a decent job as well. Is there anything it can't do?

carbolicsoap.com seems popular around here.
shavingessentials.net carries it and they are great to deal with....fast too.
OR it is said that the Kent soap is the same thing but for some odd reason at a lesser price. Other than Kent's website and around $11.00 shipping I'm not sure where to get it. Of course you could call the soap a add on to a SBAD purchase...I did.
