What is your Scotch rotation

Ok,

I'm always hearing about everyones shaving rotations, but what's your Scotch rotation?

Mine is currently Aberlour A'bunadh, Glenfiddich 15, Highland Park 15, a Signatory bottling of Dailuaine 12 and, for those special occasions, I have a few 50ml bottles of Macallan 18. A few of those bottles are almost gone. Darn, that means I'll have to buy more Scotch :biggrin1:

Here's my current rotation:

Highland Park 15
Cragganmore 12
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban
Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or
Macallan 12

All good, but I could always use a few more.

Nick

Trying to cut back and only keep 3-4 bottles at a time. I'm hoping it gives me more appreciation for each bottle rather than being spoiled for choice.

At the moment I've got bottles of

Glenfarclas 12 year old (i prefer this to the 15)

Laphroaig 10 year old

Talisker 10 year old

Jameson 12 year old

The remnants of a bottle of Bruichladdich Infinity 2nd edition - I bought this well over a year ago and opened it over the new year, I'm savouring this one as it's unlikely I'll find another bottle.

Unlike some of the other big Scotch drinkers here I don't usually have a large selection on hand but here's my rotation:

1) Monkey Shoulder- Just been loving this stuff, usually save it for the weekends.
2) Glenlivet 12- My everyday stuff.
3) JW Black- Mixed in with my everyday stuff.
4) Chivas 12- Not my favorite by a long shot but I'm trying to finish this bottle off.
5) Drumguish- Bought this stuff a couple months back on sale. It's err..OK I guess, I have it every once in a while.
6) Kirkland Speyside 20 year old- Broke down and picked up a bottle. Haven't cracked it open yet.

I normally only have one single malt and one blend on hand at a time... on account'a I'm poor. Sometimes I drink them until the room rotates. Does that count as a scotch rotation?

Macallan 12 yr
Highland Park 12yr
Lavagulin 16yr distillers edition (1995 bottling)
Glenfiddich 12yr
Cardhu 12yr

OldAF, that's quite a rotation.

Mainstays
Cragganmore 12
Laphroaig 10
Talisker 10
JW Black
Pinch
Black & White

Yesterday I bought a bottle of Glenfiddich 12. Hmmmm.

High on my to-try list
Caol Ila 12
Highland Park 12 (or maybe 15, based on Nick's post)
Laddie Ten or another Bruichladdich

Grail malt
Talisker 18 (gone for good?)

If you like the Highland Park 12yr, you really should get a bottle of the 15yr. The 12yr is excellent, but the 15yr is so superb that it's worth the extra cost.
Nick

I may have to add that to my list. I was thinking about grabbing a Macallan 18yr next. What does a bottle of the HP 15yr run?

Currently I am enjoying

Scotch
Balvenie Double Wood
Bruichladdich "Laddie 10" (very pleasant surprise. I love this dram.)
Lagavulin 16
Springbank 10 100 proof
Old Pultney
Highland Park 12
Glenmorangie Signet

Bourbon
William Larue Weller 2011 from the BTAC
4 Rose Limited Edition Single Barrel 2012
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit (ain't what it used to be)

Irish
Redbreast 12 (one of the most pleasant surprises of the last few months)

I may have to add that to my list. I was thinking about grabbing a Macallan 18yr next. What does a bottle of the HP 15yr run?

Highland Park 15yr runs about $70 per bottle, so it's roughly $20 more than the 12yr. Worth every penny if you ask me.

...OldAF, that's quite a rotation.

Well... I started out last year to sample every region and with all the recommendations it got a bit out of hand.
I really have to finish a few bottles and get that list paired down to something reasonable.
