The solution to an Omega Noodle!

As many have noticed, fully soaking an Omega boar can sometimes lead to a giant noodle - especially with a well used, broken-in, long bristled brush like the Pro 49. I've found that soaking the bristles halfway (or less) for the same amount of time is the perfect solution. The splay is significantly diminished while retaining the soft tips and incredible backbone Omegas are justly recognized for.

In other words, no need to replace that Omega boar just yet!

Yep. I do this with my Omega premium boar. The tips are very soft and if I soak the entire loft, it really does feel like one big noodle! I also soak my Semogue 830 half way as that brush doesn't have much backbone even when soaked half way, but it generates some of the best lather I have ever used!

My Omega 66 has broken in fabulously, but I've been wondering if i needed to replace it though cause of this "noodle" effect. I'll try this next time I shave :thumbup1: hopefully i'll be able to hold onto this great brush using this method.
