I was PIFed a Parker 99R. I like it, but am ready for my very own, brand new razor I think. The EJ DE89 gets rave reviews 'round these parts. I was thinking the one with the Barley handle. My question is: what is the difference between the 99R and the EJ? Like, is one more aggressive than the other? Does more aggressive mean closer?

My Parker 98R is more aggressive than the EJ but the EJ shaves closer and is smoother
+1 i found the EJ89 much better quality and a smoother shaver. However, it might depend on you and your beard type, but i think you will really like it. Good luck.
