Default Fan di Fendi pour Homme

I took one whiff of Fan di Fendi pour Homme at Macy's today and immediately plunked down $60 for a small bottle. I've never done that before. To my nose, it smells like the good parts of:

    - YSL Libre
    - Gucci PH2
    - Spicebomb
    - Bulgari Black (Maybe)

Love the top notes. Iffy on the heart notes. Crazy about the base notes. Anyone else smell this new masterpiece? I get leather, tobacco, woods and tea.

Sounds very interesting, thanks. Now I'll have to go see if I can find it.

Is this a new scent? The Macy's by me has a limited selection, but I might check this out.

It's apparently brand new at Macy's. Like this week.

I thought it had a great opening but the dry down was mediocre to my untrained nose. And the bottle is about as gaudy as you can get in a cologne bottle.Click image for larger version.

I totally agree. Now that I've had it for a few weeks, it gradually become rather bland. The opening is amazing, and why I bought it on the spot.

Yeah this bottle is awful. It screams, Jersey Shore MTV, Noveau Riche and "Notice me, notice me!"

I actually liked Rabane's 1 Milliom when it came out. But the bottle was a huge turn off. And is much as this might sound stupid. The bottles matter to me. After reading Steve Job's bio and understanding that to him the parts of the computer that you don't see, are just as impotent as the ones that you do.

I display my fragrances on an antique, glass, Art Deco tray that was in a country club bathroom. I have a hard time sitting some of the goofier looking bottles on it.

Max, do you display your fragrances on that tray in an open room with light? There's all kinds of opinions out there around whether they should be stored out of the light in a moderate temperature environment.

i do and I've heard the arguments. I've been doing for years and haven't had any fragrance loss or variation. My bathroom is usually pretty cool and the light is only on when I'm showering, shaving or literally going to the bathroom. I do keep unopened boxes in bottles in a close.
