Tried the Aventus for the first time today and it definitely is amazing stuff. Pretty much lasted from 7 a.m. till about 6 p.m.

I hate Aventus. But I hate because I can't smell it after 30 minutes. My theory is that the Creed boys discovered/created a new synthetic that some of us are anosmic to. But other people (lots of women, and ummmm, my boss) can smell it like crazy.

I'm not knocking the scent. Clearly they are onto something there. I just wish I could smell it.

I appreciate many of you fellas pouncing on this stuff. It's like a dog whistle for women. But I will caution you, it is more potent than it seems, especially for people who can smell it. Watch the dose. Less may be more with this stuff.

How many sprays to you put on, Stylin? Have you tried just one spray, perhaps in an area away from your nose, e.g. back of neck?

That's my favorite thing about Aventus is that I can smell it for about 30 minutes and it goes away. But all night long I'll still get a whiff of it to remind me it is still there.

Stylin and I are in the same boat on that one. 30 minutes and its flat gone. Smells good while it lasts though.

Then 8 hours later I will get a compliment on it and I am like "What just happened?".

Creed gets a lot of shyt, but they're smart mother-F-ers. Aventus is wicked good.

I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about but it's like scent infalication or something to that effect. Where since the scent stays so close to you your nose becomes accustom to the smell and it is no longer "standing out."

Well the verdict is in.

I wore most of the samples for the past week or so, both in Alaska and Vegas, in various venues.

No 1 stays. Tons of compliments and great on my nose
X stays....still tons of compliments and great on my nose.
V stays.....I like it. Havent cracked the bottle yet but I will.
C goes. I cant warm up to it. Lucky I havent cracked the bottle. Off to BST it goes....slong with a hell of a lot of other stuff to pay for this madness.

So it doesn't last all that long on your skin. That's unfortunate.

That is very wise.
I personally can't see much point to wearing "interesting and complex" scents for one's own personal satisfaction, that women respond to with a shrug.
