    Default Amouage Gold Man

Has anyone tried this? It seems to get mostly positive reviewed online but I can't say that I am much of a fan. I applied just a bit to my wrists and was confronted with an in your face floral scent. It is slightly dirty with the civet and is also a little spicy.

I like some Rose based frags, DC 1913, Creed Windsor and Le Labo Rose 31 come to mind but this one won't be joining that list.

I believe I tried it briefly and it reminded me of Clive Christian No. 1 but with a kind of dirty element. Scents like this and No. 1 just seem too over the top for me. I wouldn't knock anybody who wants to rock them, but they always make me feel like I need to be a lot richer and more powerful to wear them.

    I disliked it....a lot.

I quite like strong, powdery scents, but it was too strong and far too powdery for me.
It would really take a bold man to wear this comfortably. I'm not that man.
The problem with Arsenal is that they always try to walk it in!

Yeah not for me either. Amouage makes some top quality juice, but I find this one to be my least favorite of their offerings. Powder bomb for sure.

I guess this has turned into a Gold Man bashing thread. A lot of hype but I didn't get it. I didn't even get the skank that was supposed to be there. Just a slightly spicy powdered floral on me and not worth a penny of its overpriced cost.

Apply too much and then go into a confined space .... ie church or office. You'll never be forgotten in a grotesque way. That is some seriously powerful juice. Ka-Pow. It's interesting for sure, and a sample is worth exploring because I find it so interesting. But, that doesn't mean I would wear it.

Dia on the other hand ... or silver ... favorites.

I had tried it the past week during my trip to the middle east. Not for me! But I loved the Ciel Man and bought a bottle for myself! Ciel is my current favorite!!

I suppose there is more love for Gold Man on other forums...on B&B we seem to agree that this is over priced and over hyped juice.

I can say that I am a fan of other Amouage scents particularly Dia Man, XXV, and Epic Man.
