I wish we had more snow. Down here in Iowa we've gotten mostly freezing rain. That's no fun!

Well to make you feel bad, down here in Alabama we are to have a sunny day with high temps in the mid-50s. We haven't seen measurable snow in my home town since 1997. Don't you feel sorry for us

In all honesty I do, I love winter and I love snow. Partly because of childhood memories of sledding and snowball fights, forts and the like. But also because of how beautiful it makes the land look. There's nothing like having a good shave and going for a walk through the 'winter wonderland' and taking time to appreciate everything God has given us.

I know my opion might change when my bones start to ache and kids start playing annoying music and not appreciating the classics like Metalicca and Disturbed (a joke by the way). But darn it, I love winter, I love Iowa, and I love this country!

Plus it doesn't feel like Christmas without snow.

Don't know where that came from,
    Merry Christmas, everyone!

There was some frost on the ground this morning and the windchill was something like 26 degrees. Brrr.

It's a nice day in Montreal, a bit cold. I got a phone call at 9PM last night from my vice-principal telling to stay home. Got to love the snowstorms, keep them coming !!!

34cm? Anyone got a conversion chart for the Americans?

I'll actually be bracing myself for the next round of snow which is supposed to be coming by Saturday.

Jeez, you Americans and your crazy system...

30.8cm per foot. Approx 25.4mm (2.54cm) in an inch. 1.6km in a mile, don't even get me started on Fahrenheit. Bah too much conversion... My car gets forty rods to the hogshead, and that's the way I likes it!

Yeah, I stole that last part.

Edit: 1 pound = 454g in case it ever comes up. hehe

"You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in France?"
    "No."
    "Tell 'em, Vincent."
    "A Royale with cheese."
"A Royale with cheese! You know why they call it that?"
    "Because of the metric system?"
"Check out the big brain on Brett! You're a smart m**********r. That's right. The metric system."

Well the city is slowly digging itself out of the snow and life seems to be getting back to normal...although as I write there are some flurries falling.
