Question For Toggle Users

Hey guys....Is the Toggle configuration shown in the attached photo correct?
I thought the handle bottom would be in line with the rest of the handle to close the silo doors. This one shows the opposite. (the doors should be open in this pic)

The lever in the pic isn't fully open yet, it actually pivots beyond 90 degrees. The plating on the lever of my Toggle was even more wore then that one so I very carefully buffed off the rest of the gold from the lever, you have to be very careful or you'll buff through the nickel to the brass. So now I have a nice Gold razor with only a few scratches on the doors and a nice polished nickel lever.
