This would certainly do the trick, but it won't change the smell. I did a side by side comparison in the store and even the clerk (woman) could noticeably tell a difference immediately.

I got a sample of the AS from Gary's a week and a half ago. Now I wonder which version it is... I guess it doesn't matter, since I didn't care for it compared to Captain's Choice and Ogallala.

I just got back from one of the Sally's near us. There were 2 bottles there in stock and they were both the Old (Dark Green) formula. I bought one of them as I have never tried it.

I think we could send a group message/petition to Master in beautiful Lake Zurich, IL, asking them to produce the old formula Bay Rum. Who knows it might work!

I've used both a couple times and I'm starting to believe they are the same. Further testing continues.

I used the Masters today and I enjoy it quite a bit. Possibly more than the Dominica.

You all got me scared, so I went to my local Sallys. They had 1 bottle of the old form with glycerin and several of the new darker label without. I grabbed the last bottle of the old formulation. Later I realized it probably didnt matterx because I've been adding glycerin to most of my aftershaves that don't contain it anyway. But just the point of why are they messing with a good thing.

If it aint broke don't fix it.

^Totally agree. Total fail if they dropped the glycerin.

If that's true, then one or both of the labels is wrong. If the old label is wrong, then the AS never contained glycerin. If the new label is wrong, then the AS still contains glycerin. If both labels are wrong, then who knows what?

So the company changes the label but not the formula - American ingenuity at work.

Or incompetence. Why they wouldn't just go ahead and set the record straight is beyond me.
