The "Not Gillette" Vintage DE Thread

MBO Razor from Belgium
I've no idea of it's age......any information would be appreciated!

Can anybody identify this one? I think it might be german made but not text, logos or aything. It's moderately heavy, around 60g and total length 78mm. I'm going to shave it tomorrow and feels like a more aggressive (which I like and seek) than most vintages.

Well, this is the best I could do for now TonyJ -

I'll try to do some research on the Eros brand to see what I can find. Hopefully someone else with more info will post.

Thank you very much hdjj00. Seems like Eros is a minor brand and not much of a knowledge available. Great to know the name at least and still assume that it is german made. Yours looks great

No problem. I agree that it looks to be German. Wish the razor in the pic was mine - it's just a pic from the photo archive I keep to help me ID razors.

I just shaved with it and it was great. Aggressive like I assumed, ikon sb, futur on 5 range. This razor going to stay in my collection

Just purchased this and it's making it's way over from Turkey. Don't see any markings, but looked like an Apollo, so figured I'd take a shot. Any input?

Is that a slant razor? I have a slant with the same handle. That razor was sold under different brandings in germany in the 1930ies or 1920ies.

You can find more informations here:

If I remember it right, the seller described it as a possible Punktal. The head very much resembles an Apollo though.

I recently picked up a near mint condition Schick Krona for under $50. It's a mild shaver comparable to Gillette Slim at 1.

No, it is not a slant, just a closed comb but it shaves nicely aggressive way. Thank you for that link, I'll read that with better time

This model of Nicplata razors already has been presented by others on B&B, but not in this wonderful thread.
So I thought it was time to show mine here.
It is one of my favorites, not only because of its aesthetics but also for its fantastic shaving behavior.
