I'm assuming you're reacting to the Sonnal. That was my reaction when I got it. It is a very elegant razor. Probably the best looking slant I've seen.

Thanks! I really enjoy the non-Gillette razors. Some of my best are not Gillettes, and so I'm really enjoying this thread.

That's got to be the coolest injector ever made!
Pleese. Made in what was then "Palestine". The razor says "Made in Palestine". This was before the State of Israel was created. Pleese continued to manufacture razors as well as other supplies for the Israel Defence Forces.
I fell for the looks, and then started using it. I find it to be a really great razor. It really looks space age 1950's.

Merkur slant. Made in Germany. New Old Stock. Never used. Thin white handle.
Haiku, I was hoping you would post pictures of your Darwin Standard. It remains one of the nicest examples of the Standard I have ever seen.

Thanks. The Darwin came to me looking like it was NIB. It wasn't, but it sure did look it. I've kept it in that condition too.
While I appreciate my Gillette's, I've come to really like the non-Gillettes, and the collection just seems to keep on growing!
