Default Now you're just a fragrance that I used to know

Some of the regulars from the past that are long gone for me:

Was a big CK fan in high school / college. Obsession, Escape, Eternity, then CK One (I think that was the order). I really liked CK One when it came out.

    Romeo Gigli

    Nicole Miller for Men

    Giorgio Cologne by Beverly Hills

Drakkar Noir (maybe my first cologne ever, but not sure about that)

Lucky You by Claiborne (got a compliment on this)

New West Cologne (not sure why I owned this...I think I hated it)

A*Men (my father got me this from Duty Free traveling overseas when it first came out in '96, though it seems like I was younger when I wore this)

    Safari

Do you have any that were big for you back in the day but are no longer on your radar?

I too was big on CK one but it wore off and also Hugo by Hugo Boss (strapped cap, remember?) On the other hand, the only frag I use since I was a teen and have always had a bottle of is cool water.

I went through a couple bottles of Swiss Army in college. Definitely the one from my past that sticks out in my head due to the female responses.

Too many to list. Here's what I owned in HS although I never wore most of them. Some got more showtime than others, but Polo Green was my signature scent. Polo Crest got a lot of wear as well. I guess those two don't count for these purposes because I still have them and love them both. Other than those two:

    Eternity
    Obsession
    Escape
Drakkar (Actually I think I may still have an old bottle of this somewhere, but I'm not sure...)
    Aspen
    New West
Zino (About to buy this one again!)
    Opium

I worked at a department store in college and had about ~30 colognes then. I don't think I have any of those anymore. Old 90's aquatic scents. They all smelled the same. =/

    Ralph Lauren Polo
    Obsession for Men
    Passion for Men
    CKOne
    Hugo (yes, with the strap!)

I sometimes wouldn't mind some more of that Obsession for Men, those were some good times.

Romeo Gigli I remember being a favorite. I went through a phase where every time something ran out, I bought whatever the scent du jour they were pushing was. But I rebought Romeo Gigli a couple of times.

Polo (dating myself) was my go to for quite awhile. But "back in that day" there weren't many choices.

Grey Flannel was another I bought a lot.

Then there were the Calvin Klein years - Obsession, Eternity. He lost me with Ck One...forever ("UNISEX!?!? I dont THINK so"). To this day, I flinch uncontrollably if I smell Obsession. Sorry if it's anybody's "go to" now, but that was the epitome of 80s lounge lizard (takes one to know one...). Wear it in good health Leisure Suit Larry...

The one that got it all started for me was Pierre Cardin Pour Homme. Worked the shyt out of that for years it seems.

I also had Hugo with the strap plus CK One, Kenneth Cole Black, Cool Water and Le Male. And yeah, I wore HEAPS of Le Male....I can remember coating myself in it before going out. My Dad would tell me how much I stunk, which made me think I was doing it right.

It was witch hazel for me until my final year of college when I broke down and bought some grey flannel. I think I bought a total of 2 bottles (both aftershaves) my entire life, but that was enough to last at least 5 or 6 years. Then back to witch hazel for a couple of decades until this year. That's it.

Kenzo for Men and Hugo Boss original for me. Looking for the next big thing now that I'm cologne-less after leaving my Lacoste Blanc in a hotel room...

    Cheers,

Because it is so far in the past! You could not pay me to ever wear Tommy or Hugo again.....lol

Funny thing is, I still see kids at the mall buying it. I honestly think it is a right of passage. You cannot get through Jr. High without one of these.

HA! I had a serious girlfriend that wore CK One when it first came out and I adored the scent on her. After smelling and loving it on her I would smell it on dudes and be like "No way, that is just wrong..." I know a lot of guys wore it and some still do though.

No kidding, I definitely had a bottle of Tommy and a bottle of Hugo Boss. Two more I could never touch again, but they got a lot of wear in the early college days...

Lagerfeld Classic, Fahrenheit, Opium pour Homme, Sung Homme & Cool Water
5 scents I wore heavily (I mean heavily, I regretfully admit) daily.

Aspen, Brut, tried CK One and 5 minutes later I was in the shower scrubbing it off. There was one in middle school that I don't even remember the name of anymore, I'd never wear it again. I think it may have been Compass by Jean Louis, I can't honestly remember. I remember it had something to do with a compass.

    English Leather

Probably Brut, although I do not think I ever actually owned very much of it
    British Sterling (a long run)
Aramis (not sure how much Aramis I ever actually owned back in the day)
    Jacomo
    Grey Flannel
    Boucheron "Signature" and "Jaipur"
Issey (Issey stands out as having a long run as my signature scent)
    Gucci "Rush"
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme "Eau" (I think. Something my younger son searched out and bought me.)
    Sung "Hei"

Many of these I would still wear. They did not change their numbers or send their friends to collect their records!
