It's the limited edition Hive Manchurian: height=115 mm, loft=50 mm, knot=21.5 mm. Does anyone have this brush? What can I look forward to in this acquisition other than an extremely beautiful piece of candy for the eye?

I just noticed some similar brushes that are made by Vie-Long.

The Manchurian Hive has a wonderful, weighty, and grippy handle. It's height makes it a good choice for both bowl and face lathering.

It it filled with Manchurian Badger hair. This is my favorite hair grade of any that I have tried. It has a really superb level of scrub without being scrinchy. It has great flow through and easily make mountains of lather.

The short answer is.... I think you'll like it.

Beehive is my favorite shape handle. That is a truly magnificent brush.

I'm really debating between this and the Rooney hive. It's a beautiful brush.

The Hive arrived today and a complimentary 125g tin of Simpsons Luxury Shaving Cream was included.

Any suggestions as to which cream or soap to use first with this brush?

This brush has been top on my "want list" for some time. After seeing the pics, I pulled the trigger and ordered one myself. Cannot wait!

Use the Simpsons cream. If you've never used it I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
