I came in from working out of state one time to a brand new tempurpedic bed and entire beedroom set I never bitched and whined a single bit 3 weeks later she came home to a harley sitting in the drive way.Its hard for them to complain if they get something to.

AD is always lurking within me. I try and pace myself, in order to avoid being too obvious/blatant about my purchasing lest my wife notices. I haven't succeeded yet ... oh well .

Unless she pays the bills I would tell her to mind her own (expletive) business. She promised to obey you in your marriage vows, not you obey her. She will then have no choice but to kiss your (expletive) and go wash the dishes and laundry.

I would take a more "high road" approach: "Well, there are many worse places (things, activities) I could spend my time and money on other than shaving".

....and then, if that met with resistance, I would head straight for the Harley dealership and bring homes new, shiny, Road King. No doubt about it.

Out doing some Xmas shopping today and wifey gets me to try on nice new HH jacket. Gives me greenlight to buy it, and I tell her "No thanks, I have a great winter coat."
She's shocked. I say to her "You know, I could buy a really nice Simpsons or M&F for that." She responds "You have enough brushes!"
Enough; she obviously doesn't know about my mistress AD!
