cant do hot drinks

so I cant drink hot drinks never could just dont really like them. I can have a coffee now and again with a cigar every so often but not a big fan. Now cold drinks on the other hand i love me some iced coffee or iced tea. so my question is can you brew any tea over ice? I tried making some flavored tea and icing it but it did not go very well had a very funny taste to it. So my old lady loves her some coffee so I was gonna buy her one of those keurig machines so she can make her self a cup of what ever the crap she wants and I was thinking hmm it says U can brew iced tea with it.

So can any tea be turned iced or is it only some? The few I have tried were not so good but I dont see why it could be.

Short answer is Yes. But you may want to ask more specifically about the type of tea you have in mind. Certainly many people drink lots of ice tea such as those sold by Lipton or Tetley, which are popular black teas. The funny taste you mention might be because of the artificial flavoring, or it might be due to the way it was brewed. If you brew at too high of a temperature (like boiling it in a pot on the stove) or let it steep too long the tea can become bitter or astringent. Try reducing the brewing temperature (let any boiling water rest a bit before using) and/or the amount of tea and/or steeping time to see if it tastes better. A little experimentation should help.

i dont see how anyone couldnt like hot drinks i live of hot drinks. i do love iced tea

I have been using some shu type puerh for iced tea this year. Works very well.

i am not to sure about brand or type my girl goes to this tea store that sells hundreds of teas that taste good but as I mentioned im not a fan of hot drinks or sandwiches but thats another subject. I thought about the issue with the boiling temp but thats why I ask about the keurig machine like does it work with different types of teas I know they have there brand of teas but id like expand my options to the teas she buys because they are amazing but id just prefer a cold form of it.

My mouth is very sensitive. More than once I've had blisters in my mouth and on my tongue from hot drinks.
Same for soups... they have to cool a bit.

AFAIK the Keurig machines work with K-cups and some of the higher end models might offer some temperature control, but without using one I would be skeptical of their suitability for tea, because these machines are primarily geared towards brewing coffee, and coffee is typically brewed at higher temperatures than tea. If you brew lots of tea, especially any green or white tea, then a electric tea kettle for heating the water to a particular temperature may be a better option. But if you already have a Keurig for coffee, it might be a good option for heating water for tea brewing, as that should help keep it below boiling temps. But I don't have any experience doing this.

Sure you can. Your problem isn't a matter of can/can't but what you prefer. What type(s) of tea do you prefer over ice?

How did you brew them? That can affect the results as well.

If you're considering that route then you'll need to try the available teas for Keurigs and see if you like any of them. Consider that you really have no control over the time that the leaves are steeped with a Keurig.

If your basis is what you prefer then you'll run into that a lot (not seeing how anyone can X).

I'm skeptical of their suitability for coffee. Temperature is really just one factor to consider and I don't care for the coffee that they produce. Others are very happy with them. It's a subjective matter. The typical Keurig user places convenience above all else.

Keurig has had two systems since around March of this year: the K cups and the Vue. Can't speak for other models but my wife's V700 has a temperature range of 187° - 197° (192° from the factory). I'm sure you can find specs for other models online.
