Default First Day of Welding Classes for old student!

Welp, today I'm back to school (again!!) this time, to take a couple welding classes at a local college, after dropping out of Respiratory Therapy classes after finding out health care isn't for me, even though it runs in the family! I have a feeling I'll love it. (hopefully-----and hopefully will be able to find work once I'm through)

Congrats and best of luck. I too once returned to a technical college to take welding, maybe 18 years ago. I wanted to learn TIG welding to work on stainless. Everyone else in the class wanted to learn aluminum, so here I am, without welding skills. I still lust after a small TIG inverter.

I have done a lot of stick welding, but what I really like is old fashion oxyacetylene welding. I guess it goes with straight shaving lol. Never took any classes though. I guess that is why my overhead welding is nothing to brag about. Anyway good luck and enjoy your classes and your new career.
