Default Checking in from south Sweden

    Hello everyone,

I am a newbie checking in from south Sweden. Has been DE-shaving for 6 weeks now and battling AD already. Currently too much stuff waiting to be tried, when I should be perfecting my technique. Favourites so far are Proraso cream, Mike´s Natural Soap and Proraso brush (wish I believe is a rebranded Omega Pro).

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experiences! Hopefully I will be able to contribute soon.

Welcome aboard the B & B (besides being enrolled in the fictional, sacred and utopian Order of Shavedom). Please feel free to come up to the promenade / sun deck & 'sit-a-spell'.

Sounds like you're off to a great start, and yes, this Forum has the knowledge, ideas, and all around 'know-how' to assist in your Wet-Shaving experience. In a nut-shell...your 'gonna' love it here.
    Q. What other brands (i.e., razor, blades, scents ect...), are you working with?

In my opinon, it's wise and sage advice to get a Razor Blade Sampler (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...pack?highlight), so that you'll see what blade would be a good fit (mild, moderate & aggressive, ect...), for your face and razor.

Also, the Thread entitled Wet Shaving Instructions & Tutorials (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...THIS-THREAD%21), maybe of great interest to you and is very informative to include shaving videos by member Mantic @ http://www.youtube.com/user/mantic59. And don't forget the 3 P's of shaving...practice, patience and procedure (technique).

Although, you may not be additted yet (I think I'm holding up fairly well...with a few exceptions), because we all suffer (gladly and are doomed perhaps), from this shaving complusion (and other Acquisition Disorders), because at times..."Resistance is futile".

Please don't forget once you get time....to tell us a little about yourself in the Hall of Fame sub-forum.

Thanks Everyone for the warm welcome!

Merkur Cristo, just hope that my wife doesnt see this. At the moment she just thinks I am occupying too much cupboard space in the bathroom. I am working with the following:

    1. Merkur Travel Razor 985 CL
    2. Merkur Futur
    3. Ikon S3s
    4.Weber DLC
    5. Gillette Superspeed 1964 (not tried yet)

Like Mikes Natural Soap and MWF a lot. Tabac and Proraso works well too. Have also tried TOBS Rose cream, some DR Harris shave sticks. Have Arko and Palmolive shave sticks waiting to bee tried. B

ody Shop shaving cream produces a great lather, but just didnt work for my skin.

Just love the Proraso Preshave. T&H, Decleor and Karin Herzog pre-shave oil works well.

For aftershave I use Decleor AS Balm or Karin Herzog AS Balm.
It nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

Thanks everyone! Now I am not going to add anything to my shave den, just using and understand the products before anything new is added. :-)
