At least for me, I include CONUS prices because I have a pretty good sense of how much CONUS shipping will cost and I can easily include that in my price, whereas I honestly don't even have the slightest idea what shipping overseas will be. I'd be happy to ship anywhere, but I'm not going to list four different prices depending on where the buyer is located.

I've traded with a member from Turkey. Wasn't too big of a hassle, but the first step is to always look up previous posts. Get a sense of the guy you're dealing with regardless of the country. I'd think 4 posts is a bigger hurdle than location, if I were shipping. In my case as sending a trade or the previously stated, "I'll let you know what international shipping is and we'll settle up," there has to be a basis for trust.
The funny thing is that my first trade was with a fellow member from America making his first trade as well. We were both suspicious of the process, he had some odd requests about sending and verifying and I was PMing a mod with questions before we could both get comfortable with the deal and each other.
Postage and post office lines are but one hurdle.

I can say that never again will a Simpsons be sent by me, across the water.
After all, they have little, if not nothing, to send back
Although it is perfectly understandable that you, and other overseas members, might get frustrated at most BST sales being CONUS only, you should also understand that in many cases, most of us have never shipped anything overseas and don't care to for the types of items being sold. These aren't "products" that a business is selling you, they are personal items that are being sold by individuals, often for little or no profit over what is already invested in them, but more often at a loss from original purchase price, even after limited, or no, use. It's a shame that you find it "disgusting", but there are surely many sources of products for you from businesses that will gladly sell you the same type of item for more money and ship it to you anywhere in the world, for a price.

There are a few issues I have with shipping internationally, but I usually do it anyway.
1) Tracking is not available. So when things do not show up, people start getting antsy.
2) Its a bit tricky with declaring value, and when things go missing trying to reclaim the value of items.
That being said, I usually do ship outside of the US as long as people are willing to pay the price. All one usually has to do is ask.

Please do send me a link to where I can do that, I'd seriously be interested in taking advantage of it.
The online and in person people I've spoken to at the Post Office tell me that Tracking is not available on the small flat rate packages.
Tracking is available only on the medium or Large flat rate packages, and to New Zealand the cost for International Flat rate shipping including the tracking number is $47.95 and $60.95 respectively.
If I've been missing out on a deal I'd certainly appreciate any help you could give me in saving a few bucks.
I'd definitely reconsider shipping to overseas B&B members if I can do what you suggest.

Speaking from the mainland here, ive never found it an issue.
Just ask if they'll walk to to post office for you.
I think you are right Phil. The items I have bought "with Tracking" from the US have been tracked right up until... it left the US. Then you were crossing your fingers.
I sent a very small, light box from here to Croatia last week. Because the item was kind of expensive both myself and the buyer wanted tracking the whole way, and it ended up costing around $60.
