Default Strop Shoppe Tallow Soap now available at a special price!

    Hello Badger & Bladers!

I have been working hard to perfect a new tallow based formula to add to the Strop Shoppe. I have a very solid, high performance formula, and after testing by 10 generous users, I am ready to sell it. You can see their reviews here.

I have added ten pucks with our signature Black Tie scent to our website, with a special price of $8.99 + shipping at :

    http://stropshoppe.com/index.php?rou...&product_id=79

While you are there, feel welcome to look at the other products we have available. We have had great reviews of our soap here on Badger & Blade, as well as Leisureguy's blog, and the Wicked_Edge community on Reddit.

    Thank you very much!

Hey Kali, I added my review... Also, will you consider making a few more Tallow based soaps!?!? I love the black Tie but would like the same quality in other sents... Thanks again for the opportunity to have been a Tester! I feel I'm the lucky one!

As soon as you do the Tallow in Bay Rum, I'm on board. The soap is phenomenal.

Anyone want to do a comparison to Mike's? I'd love to know the different strengths of the different soaps, as Mike's is my current go to.

    Ordered one...

I will be comparing to my Fantastic Four lineup of MWF, Tabac, Arko and Euro Palmolive (I grated the Arko and Palmolive down into WCS aluminum containers). My Chubby 3 Super will be doing the honors.

You don't mention it coming in a container...I assume it's just the puck?

    Thanks for the price!

So many wonderful soaps...so little time...

I will definitely add this to my waiting list of soaps to try...sounds enticing.

Tried the tallow soap for the first time, It is a very nice soap. Lathers well for me, plenty of cushion, slick, and the scent is not overpowering but smells fresh and masculine which I like in a soap. Plenty there for three passes also and I face lather.

Ordered a puck. I love the scent, but the Baker and Black tie seem to not offer as much protection for me as other soaps. I always have a little razor burn after using them, but I love the scents enough to keep them around. I'm really looking forward to trying the tallow based soap!

I grabbed the first of the 10, but didn't say anything. I've heard nothing but good things about your soaps, and about the Black Tie scent in particular. And with the reviews putting it above the original, I am really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks a lot.

    Hello B&B'ers!

I have updated the store just now, adding tallow soap available in Baker St and Bay Rum scents!

I have changed suppliers for the metal tins, and thanks to a lower cost per tin, I can announce that all soap will be coming in metal tins at the listed price. As such, packaging options have been removed from every product page.

Thank you very much, and have an amazing day!

After trying your Black Tie sample I knew I was hooked. So I had to have the Bay Rum too. Thanks, I think I found my perfect soap.

Son of a...I love Baker St. and my bay rum veggie is supposed to be here soon. I'll have to make room so I can try the others. I will say I would have bought a tin of the Baker St. at the same time.

Ooooh, what the heck, I'll bite. I'll throw an order in now since there's 6 left of the Black Tie.

Used the Black Tie this morning - very good overall performance. The scent is certainly masculine without being "over the top". Lather was pretty decent, certainly not an Arko type of thing - more like Acca Kappa 1869 - at least with my Chubby 3 Super, which I used it with. I'm going to try it again tomorrow with my Semogue SOC 2 Band and see how that works out. The tin that it came in was very nice btw...smaller than the WCS aluminum containers, but certainly perfect for the soap shipped with it.

That could mean quite a few things around here! :) Thank you for the feedback Samjax.

Scritchier brushes like my EJ Best and SOC Boar rip this soap up, yielding extremely thick and luxurious billows. You're in for a nice surprise when you use your 2-band! YMMV, but I've almost completely stopped using my silvertips.

And the tin is a classy touch, but I jammed it into a wide bowl.

All this to say, my other soaps and creams aren't getting much use anymore...

I found mine in the post this afternoon, I can't wait until tomorrow so I can give this one a try. If it's as good as I hope I'll be ordering the Baker St. Tallow soon!
