Default WTS or WTT: Wade & Butcher Straight

This is a Wade & Butcher straight razor with horn scales. "The Original And Only Genuine Bow Razor Manufactured By Wade & Butcher" is written on the blade. This razor is in great condition; I just had it restored and honed by The Shave Smith. We decided to leave a lot of the patina and didn't go too hard on the razor so the wording would remain strongly visible. I have only used it once and I definitely consider it shave ready. I have included a couple of pictures taken by The Shave Smith and one with the razor and my user name.

I'm looking for either $90 shipped CONUS or a Chosera 1K stone in like new condition. I'd be up to another good 1K stone of comparable worth - I have a King 1K right now it just isn't doing the job. I would entertain a lesser 1K (used or whatnot, just needs to be better than my King) with a used 10,000k or 12,000K as well. I already have a DMT, a 4000/8000, and a swoty hone. I'm still new to honing and am trying to set up a good set of tools.

This is a great razor, but I want to purchase more honing tools.

    Thanks!

I know King 1k stones require more water as they are made from clay..have you tried this?...is your blade making contact with the stone during every X stroke..with very little pressure?

Yeah, I've tried soaking it before use. Also, I've been very careful with my x strokes. Of course, as a beginner, I could very well be making mistakes. However, I've been told that my finishing techniques look pretty good, it's the first part that I'm struggling with - and that a better stone would help a lot. Thanks, though.

Thanks. I've got several good straights and will hopefully get my honing down soon enough to keep a decent edge on them. I'm sad to part with the W&B, but I really want to get the right tools to be successful.

By the way, I hope it isn't against the rules, but I lowered the price by $10. I'm only trying to sell the razor for the money I've put into it and I realized that I didn't pay as much, initially.

    There's nothing wrong with a King 1k. It's a great stone.

It definitely works. I'm just looking for something that is wider and isn't such a slow cutter. The King is a great stone for the price.
