2 oz Laird's BIB Apple Brandy (Applejack if you must)
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz grenadine
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Lemon twist garnish.
The better the grenadine the better the drink. Use homemade pomegranate grenadine.
Really, grenadine you buy in a bottle is swill; nothing but HFCS and food coloring.
Make it just like simple syrup. POM pomegranate is everywhere... 1:1 or 2:1 POM:Sugar (depending how sweet you want it) + half a lemon. Bring to a boil while stirring. Add lemon, let cool and refrigerate. Keeps about a month in the fridge.
