Tonight, I am having Mint Juleps in honor of the Preakness Stakes because I didn't get to make any for the Kentucky Derby.

I'm strolling down to the Crown Inn Penzance in half an hour for a few pints of his local beers.
He brews an S.P.A (special pale ale) which is very nice. It's about 4.8%

Home made grape wine. A little rough at 12%ABV but a nice soother after a hard day's work.

Let it age for a while.

My mead typically comes in at between 14 and 17%. It still has that "bite" in the aftertaste for almost a year. It's barely drinkable at 6 months.

A gimlet. A proper gimlet, which according to Terry Lennox is, "half gin and half Rose's lime juice and nothing else".

A "Rum Cape Codder": rum and cranberry juice on ice, lime optional. Its okay, nothing special.

Simple, refreshing, double Beefeater Gin and Tonics.

Highball/Tall glass filled with cubed ice
Squeeze 1/4 lime over the ice
Add 2 shots (3 ounces) London Dry Gin
Top up with Tonic Water (prefer Canada Dry but any will do in a pinch)
Garnish with a slice of lime, some drinkers prefer the glass rimmed with lime as well.

    Enjoy!
    Life is short, enjoy it!

    Templeton Rye.

Just a TAD smoother than Bulleit, but both are top notch.

I haven't tried the bourbon yet, how does it compare to their rye, is it in the same class?
