I'm more of the opposite.
I shave daily except for Sundays.
I find it easier to shave when there's barely stubble. Less clean-up and buffing as well.

My wallet is in the hospital...
During the week I'll do that with some razors it just doesn't feel the same or as rewarding more of a chore but that's probably more to do with it having to be done on works schedule rather when when I feel like it
James - "I got into trouble once, and have remained there ever since."
It's not my fault, it's James' blame him
I can usually get by with a shave every other day if I need to as I can feel the stubble but it doesn't show.
This morning I needed that shave but I also want a really good shave tomorrow so I broke out the old Tesco 3 blade cartridge I use for travelling. Gives a fast, decent shave but there will be enough stubble coming through for a good shave tomorrow when I really want it!

I have no problems skipping a day or two. Agree with OP.

Three days growth would drive me crazy. My wife says she likes the look- until I kiss her or nuzzle her neck, that is. My beard is pretty coarse.
I have survived the great Arko War of 2013, thanks chiefly to Ed's Latakia discussion.
