Date This Old Gillette Blade

A number of these were in a blade holder of a cased Aristocrat I acquired. I'm wondering from what era they come.

I have tried a few of the gold thins and find some have aged better than others. Some are sharp and smooth and some are bad.

These are among the best vintage carbon-steel blades I've tried so far! But I don't think I'd use them if they were found loose in a blade bank. Your picture seems to show a few spots of corrosion on the edges.

There were quite a few of them. I figured they were all used. I'm just tossing them.

They make me wonder if the Aristocrat I got hasn't been used since the mid-1950s.
