Default Stopped in to Orvis for the first time.

Last week I got together with the GF for dinner. As we we were walking out I noticed an Orvis a couple doors down. Never been in one before so we stopped in for a look.

Have to say it was pretty decent. Seemd like an upscale Eddie Bauer, very outdoorsy vibe, with a very nice albeit expensive selection of Fly rods and reels. Clothes selection were a bit on the conservative side, although they had some nice dress shirts. Probably the thing I liked best were their mens frangrances, pretty decent for a chain type store.

Will probably stop there again in the Fall and check out what they have.

If you are interested, their e-store has a much better selection than many of their B&Ms.

I just picked up a Barbour insulated vest for 50% off at Orvis the other day. Pretty good deal.

...And remember: Orvis sells Domenica Bay Rum (both versions--plain and with lime)!

I really like their no-wrinkle khaki pants and shorts. I often receive $25 off $50 purchases in the mail, so you may want to sign up with them.

I have had very good luck with their clothing and some household items. Their bison wallets are outstanding. Good line of belts as well.

Score. Three Barbour jackets hang in my closet and I still want more.
