Small Packs Shipping Option Now Available

I have added a new shipping option for smaller items that ship within the United States to help my customers save a little money. The small packs option is great for smaller orders, razors, shaving soap refills, DE blades and the like. Once the net weight of your items exceeds 10oz, you are better off selecting Domestic Shipping although the site will not prevent you from choosing small packs. Hopefully this is not too confusing.

Edit: It was too confusing! I have eliminated the small packs option but instead have lowered shipping costs for lighter packages. The bottom line is this will save customers money without being too cumbersome. Due to website limitations, this seemed like the best solution.

You are very welcome Todd. I am still playing around with it and will probably have to tweak it several times until I am satisfied. I now have Expedited Shipping and Small Packs since some people want fast shipping even if it is a lighter item.

Why not try shipping small items via USPS....with the "If it fits...it ships" for $5.95. I was buying LEAD for melting down and casting bullets and guys were mailind me little pigs of leab in those cardboard envelopes. Envelopes are free from the post office!!

I do use flat rate boxes when I can but the problem is I sell well over 500 different items...there is no way to configure the shipping software to accommodate those items that fit and those that do not. In addition, I have to make sure everything is well packed to prevent breakage. Shipping gets exponentially more complicated the more different items you sell especially when people can buy them in any combination.

My shipping charges are based on weight and destination.
