I have a feeling the commentary is BS. Show me a 22 year old girl in 2012 who envisions Richard Gere with his shirt unbuttoned while smelling a fragrance, and I'll become a lifetime subscriber to Esquire.

It's an odd and interesting strategy to sell fragrances. The tipoff is the quick connection they have to purchase.
Including one chosen quote from a woman is hardly indicative of how every woman will feel about it. But it's not n unwise way to capture a guys attention.

    You read it?

I only pick it up when the white roll is getting a little light.

Oh, you know guys went rushing to buy these fragrances after reading this........except the one that supposedly smells like deodorant. I would not be surprised if they sue Esquire for that......lol

Amen I subscribed from my freshman year of HS though College but by that time I got to grad school I let it drop because it was nothing like it was in the 70's and 80'!

They needs to get the ladys to smell Canoe, Darrakka (SP), Polo orginal, Haltson Z-14 and some classic barbershop scents like Clubman, Bay Rum and Barbarsol series.

Excellent pick up. Looked it up, last significant role is in Chicago 10 years ago. No way that's written by a 22 year old.
