Default What women think of men's fragrances according to Esquire/Yahoo

This was an amusing little piece I stumbled upon. Really not that much there but I didn't know about the new Amouage scent, Interlude, that is mentioned.

Here's a link to the article:

I always like hearing what people "envision" when they smell a cologne, but these are some of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

    Boss Sport by Hugo Boss.....

The article is not an article but an ad for those colognes with some type of commentary.

Possibly but why include Amouage? More of a niche house then all of the others that were mentioned.

That said I've heard that many of these magazines are linked pretty well with their advertisers...

Did not seem to me that this article was going to sell much juice!

I recently restarted a subscription to Esquire at some huge discount. No publications seem very good these days. Amazing that Esquire has survived at all.

Oh Esquire. How far you have fallen. How crappy you have become.

+1 The scents I like, consider and wear will come first. What the opposite sex thinks, considers and likes will come second. This way, the scent you choose, will only attract women you prefer.

OK article, I used to read Esquire a lot to (still grab a copy at work from time to time). Not exactly the most hard hitting of magazines anymore, but still provides good reading material in the lavatory.

I imagine that most of those frags are the result of lots of focus groups since they are designed (contrived) to appeal to a target segment. It gets back to the old question that is asked on this forum from time to time - can you enhance your attractiveness to the opposite sex with cologne. The marketers would certainly like us to think so. As for Esquire, my wife has buys me a subscription - good lighthearted entertainment sprinkled with a few incisive articles about abuse of power IMO. If it weren't for the ad revenue they couldn't sell a subscription for about $10/yr.
