Default Groom & Clean to Groom and Clean?

    Ok,

For my pomade brothers out there. How many of you actually use Groom & Clean to degunk their hair? I have read some posts on facebook that recommends putting some in your hair, and keeping it in there as long as possible. Then, you simple wash the hair. People claim that it does exactly as the name describes and gets the grease out.

Just a small tip that I am going to try, and wanted to pass it along.

I use it, but not to actually wash my hair. I do love the fact that it washes out so easily.

Interesting tip. I do use it sometimes, but like Prince, not to wash anything else out. It makes sense to me that it would work with pomades.

I tend to use Indian (East Indian) bar shampoos that seem to be pretty good about getting pomades out. Dax has an "oil" shampoo, I think they call it, specially designed supposedly to get pomades out, that seems to work pretty well.

I tend to go very easy on pomades in general, especially those that are not "washable"! Using a lot of Suavecito lately.

if you are using suavacito, that is more of a water based. I still haven't tried the groom and clean, but I did buy it..haha

Ive heard this as well. I still have not used the Groom & Clean, but I will be testing it out hardcore next week for review :)

Yep, the Suavecito washes out easily! I essentially meant that I was using a water soluble, washable pomade a lot lately, in part because of the hassle the non-washable ones. Not my favorite pomade. Besides the Suavecito I mostly seem to use Murray's and Dax "High and Tight Awesome Shine." Definitely not water soluble. That version of Dax may be my favorite pomade.

I have been meaning to pick up Dax for some time. It has a very loyal following.

Dax seems to have about 20 different pomades. I probably own some of 3/4 of them. I can't keep them straight! I really have no idea what the putative different purposes for the different types are. Some are washable. I guess one of the "High and Tight"s is shine and the other is hold. For some reason the Green and Gold appeals to me.

Of course, I have been using the Sauvecito and do not even like it much, so no reason to take my advice!

Again, the Dax shampoo designed to get pomades out is pretty good.

So i finally got around to using Groom & Clean to groom and clean. I put a generous helping in my hair, and combed it through. Now it has a very classic scent, which will transport you back to the 50's. I left it in my hair for about thirty minutes to one hour and then washed it out. My petroleum based pomades virtually washed out.

I would seriously give it a try if you get the chance.
