Most members probably know this, but vintagescent has these highly regarded brushes for $23, and shipping to the states was about $3! Most of the awesome vendors here sell them for $40-$45.

I'll update on my experience with the vendor after receiving the brush!

Amazing brush from a fantastic vendor. You can not go wrong at all IMO. I use this brush more than any other brush I own.

i'm debating ordering another (i already have one from this vendor) and transplanting the knot into a restored handle.

i know that sounds crazy, for for $25 to get a SOC knot into a vintage restored handle is well worth it if you ask me.

Is the hair on these different from the other Semogue's like the 1305 and 1520?

+1. The SOC is an amazing brush and Leon is great to do business with.

I regularly choose this brush over my more expensive badger.

It is also available at shaving.ie at about the same price shipped. Shaving.ie also has CF tubs for $26 and ASB for $37 which is an unbeatable price. Just for those intersted in more than just the brush.

no. don't try to rush it.

test lather, dry, test lather, dry, test lather dry. repeat as often as you like, take about 30 cycles before it really starts to shine.

you can use it right out of the box, but it won't be too soft

Mine actually broke in faster than all my other semogues. Also, it was far more usable from day 1. Use often as you can but make sure you allow ample drying time for the tips to splay.

Great! Now, when you get it and find out just how perfect the handle is, remember he carries the SOC 2-Band as well for just under $75. Pure Awesomeness #2.

why does it say "The Semogue Owners Club brush is available exclusively here at Vintage Scent" when it's available at most shaving vendors online?
