    Default Newbie Finally Checking In

    Hello everyone,

I've been a lurker here on B&B soaking up the good advice. Anyway, I've been DE shaving since June, still working my way through the starter pack I bought from WCS. I have a Merkur 34C, tweezerman, and a few soaps (using C&E Nomad right now). I would just like to say thanks for all of the helpful advice contained here. Thanks to the wiki, I've developed a pretty good technique and haven't drawn blood once yet.

Welcome! How do you like the 34c? I have the 23c (long handle) which is a good razor but I wanted something with a bit more weight. Going to the store tomorrow to pick a new razor up. The 34c was one I was considering, also looking into maybe getting and EJ89.

I love it. The short handle and the heft of the head makes for a perfectly balanced razor. I've found it easy to apply no pressure. Most of a sampler pack tried with no cuts or nicks yet. I've heard good things about the EJ89 also.
