    Default Pre shave and MWF

Looking at pulling the trigger on some MWF and looking to see what people are pre shaving with prior to this soap. I use Proraso pre shave (green) and AOS Sandalwood pre shave oil right now. I am thinking that both of those might be too much of a contrast for the fat...

MWF has a nice but neutral scent so I don't think it'll be a problem.

OK, thanks... I kept reading how great it makes your face feel and I figured the Proraso would over power it a little bit.

AOS Sandalwood would go nicely with MWF IMO.

I am a regular MWF user and I use no pre-shave products other than soap and water during my pre-shave shower.

+1 on this. One of the main reasons why MWF is so tricky/tempermental is because of the higher amounts of cushioning and moisturizing ingredients at the expense of ingredients that provide a more stable lather. I'm not a big fan of pre-shave anything (other than a nice facial rinse!), but I especially don't think its all that necessary with MWF. But if you're still interested in a pre-shave product, I don't see it "clashing" with MWF in any way; MWF has a very clean/lilly of the valley scent.

Proraso and MWF are a great combo.

If you're concerned about scent, go with plain old grape seed oil as a pre shave. It has zero scent. But as most state, it should not be a big deal either way. I found that if you can smell your pre-shave, you've used too much, even the proraso with it's potent scent.

No matter what soap or cream I use, when I don't shave right after shower, mild daily face wash is enough and efficient as pre-shave.

Nothing is as big a rip off in the shaving world as any item labeled "pre shave" in my opinion. The soap or cream itself is a very effective pre shave. Just let your cream or soap sit on your face for two minutes or so and save yourself the money of pre shave products.

I will have to second that statement. MWF is very cushioning, it is also very moisturizing. I don't think that MWF needs any help, pre or post shave.
All you will need is a good brush, but that's a whole other story.

Thank's for all the info guy's.... Guess I will have to do a little trial and error, gonna try to run it with no pre-shave the first few times.
