    Default Talc powder on face

Hey guys, I have sometimes put talc powder on my face. I find it hides those little nicks and also makes my face nice and dull and smooth in a certain way. My question is, is this safe to do?

Are you powdering like you're putting on clown makeup?

Ha! Nope! :) I just put a decent amount on my hand, rub it a bit so both hands have some, and go over the jawline and wherever else. I can't even tell I have the powder on my face.

Interested to see the responses in this thread. I heard talc has been linked to cancer? If it is safe I would perhaps like to give it a try. Would it hide some of my whiskers? I have black beard syndrome.

I have read much on that subject, and it causes cancer in women who use it in their underwear because it calcified in the uterus and on the ovaries I believe. With men the only real risk is breathing in clumps of it. The cancer link was also found in forcing rats to inhale it for long periods of time. Plus, modern day talc doesn't have any sort of asbestos in it, either.

I have not used it on my face but, I wouldn't hesitate. While I'm no expert on the subject (my disclaimer), I would think it would be just fine.
    I use this quite often.

Years ago, Mennen made a face talc which I used. I use the Pinaud on my body after I shower at the gym, but never tried it on my face.

Sorry but what's the purpose of using talc on the body? I honestly don't know. I can see how it would be beneficial in creating a matte look on the face.

It stops chaffing and keeps you dry. I am thinking about going to the dollar store and getting some mentholated talc...can't decidddeee if I should or just stick to my Clubman.

But it dries your skin. You could use a makeup powder instead :D :D

Only the thought of powdering my face after shaving makes my back hairs stand out.

If you use a small amount to just cover, coat not plaster your skin it's not noticeable

ID:	263980I picked up this tin today. It has some left in it and was thinking about using it as its not "chunky". More to topic I use the Clubman talc (pictured above by kchighlife) and sometimes put a bit on my face.

If it's anything like what happened last time I rinsed out menthol shampoo with my head bowed forwards instead of back, you have my deepest sympathies

Sounds a little counter-intuitive to me-- wouldn't that just clog your pores?
