How low would you go?

I'll get straight to the point and won't try to disguise the fact that I'm really talking about myself. I've completely fallen for the mythical lore of Penzance and Stonehaven. I love straight tobaccos and just know I'll dig this stuff... it sounds right up my ally, based on all the reviews I've read. And when I say I love straight tobacco I do mean LOVE... I deeply cherish and enjoy the experience of smoking. Anyway, I've spent hours scouring the internet trying to track some down but you all know about its paucity on the market. Getting my hands on it through traditional purchasing channels doesn't seem likely.

In your opinion, is it in poor taste to ask someone on a forum to buy some from them? I mean directly ask them, not just send out smoke signals via my signature line here. I'd never in a million years ask for a free sample or anything like that, and in fact I'd make sure the person was completely compensated for every aspect of the endeavor -- tobacco, baggie, envelope/box, shipping, time and effort, etc. I HATE asking for anything but I'm really conflicted about this. My gut instinct is telling me that it's not a classy move, although I wouldn't be surprised if many people don't think it's such a big deal... "no harm in asking" kinda mentality. Interested in your thoughts.

It says nothing about receiving a PIF though. Frankly if I had some I'd give it to ya since I've been blessed with many gifts of the brown leaf variety myself, but alas I don't any of that which you seek. Maybe someone here would oblige your request with a sample of sorts.

They're two of the best tobaccos ever made. I suggest buying the Stonehaven in bulk and the Penzance by the tin, as it's the most prone to drying of any blend I ever tried. Nothing like a freshly popped tin of Penzance.

I'm aware of this and would do my utmost to contact someone via their private email. Also, I'm not talking about B&B specifically; I'm wondering about this in more of a general sense, so forum rules are not really at issue here. Thank-you for the reminder, though. It's something I'm sure not everyone is aware of.

The generosity of this place never ceases to amaze me. But for the record, I honestly did not create this thread with the ulterior motive of getting someone to step up and scratch my itch. It might sound unlikely... in retrospect I can see how someone would perceive my intentions to be covert here... but it's important to me that you guys believe I am simply fishing for opinions with this thread and not offers, PIFs, etc.
