    Default Menthol Aftershaves

I love Proraso aftershave splash (and their shaving soap and cream). What are some other good menthol aftershaves out there?

    Thanks

Besides those already-mentioned classics, let me count the ways...

    Alcolado Glacial
    Barbasol Brisk
    Barbasol Pacific Rush
    Floid Vigoroso (IIRC)
    Lucido (?)
    Osage Rub
    Stetson Cooling Moisture
    Superior 70 Mentholated Bay Rum
    444 Balm

I'm sure I missed a few, but there will be lots of guys to chime in with their favorites. Congrats on being a menth-head!

Thanks for all the info. I found some Barbasol Pacific Rush in a store about a week ago. I thought it smelled a bit medicinal. Is menthol going to be the predominant scent in menthol aftershaves? I like it in the Proraso, but it can obviously come in a lot of varieties with other manufacturers.

In other words, is it the menthol I'm smelling in Proraso?

Did you sniff from the bottle? That's no a good way to test scents as you will get all of the alcohol. Menthol can be detected but it is usually the first thing that fades with alcohol.

Barbasol Pacific Rush. Can't beat it at $1.75 at Dollar General...

Not sure if it is considered a true "aftershave" but Osage Rub is probably the most heavily mentholated product. It's a real nice freeze. I use it everyday, and love it.

Are any of the above mentioned aftershaves splash face freezers?

I have not tried it, but how about the Vostok aftershave balm by Queen Charlotte Soaps? It has received good reviews.

If the level of menthol is anything like their shaving cream, it will be so cold it will bring tears to your eyes!!

if we are going the none aftershave route we could add Bengay or Tiger Balm

As far a real face-freezers go, the two that rise above the crowd for me are Osage Rub and Alcolado Glacial, with a thrid place to Barbasol Pacific Rush. The O Rub will literally bring tears to your eyes with its menthol/eucalyptus punch!
