I made an post about this a while ago how I stumbled over the discovery that .... wow ... one can ... *gasp* shave in the evening!! Apparently pretty normal activity :-) I started so awake to focus on my technique. To day I happen to read in a blade producer's shaving FAQ that evening shaving is to be recommended because skin is more ready then. Lord's page. Well some has to shave in the morning, guess preparation then must be good, but it always should be :-) But evening shaves, a part of the good life I say!

I've been saying this for over a half year now since I started out, and now I'm used to it. I'll probably stay an evening shaver, I like it!

I shave at night because I need to have a good shower to soften my beard up and I'm very slow to get moving in the morning, especially when I have to be leaving at half 6. There are some nights where I'm too tired to bother having a shower and shave, but in general, my shower and shave is my favorite part of the day. Making myself clean and fresh is like takingthe weight of the world off my shoulders and gets me well relaxed before bed. If I give myself a DFS with a sharp blade like 7 o'clock yellow or feather I can get as far as the early afternoon before stubble shows up, the most important thing is to show up to work clean shaven not the look clean shaven all day

Welcome Aboard!! I have done on it on occasion, and it's not bad at all.

I am an AM shaver. I tried shaving at night but by Noon my stubble was driving me crazy.

Luckily, I can get away with night shaving and not look too bad the next day.

I have to get a four and six year old to school every morning. If night shaving wasn't an option, I would have been forced to stick with my electric.

I used to do a second shave of the day in the evenings just to relish the zen experience. That never caused any problems and may have some benefits. I always shaved the next morning just out of habit.

As many have already stated, it is sometimes better to take your time and enjoy a nice long shave in the evening than to try to fit in a morning shave, especially if you are new to this style of shaving.

Some guys have said that they get a shave that is so much closer than with cartridges that it can grow overnight and still look good enough for the next day. I've never tried that, mostly because I'm still on automatic pilot until I get behind the wheel of the car in the morning.

I will only shave the night before if I have an early flight. Otherwise, only shave in morning or evening if I have an engagement.

Can't do it. For some reason the skin on my face is noticeably puffy at night, is very sensitive and I get irritation which often hasn't gone by the morning; also no matter how close I shave it only lasts 12-14 hours before I have noticeable stubble so an evening shave won't get me through the work day.

It depends whether or not you are into the incredibly sexy stubble look. You may wake up looking like a Calvin Klein model. Or you could shave in the AM and look smooth and sanitary all day.

I shave at night too, it's a great way to "un-wind". Plus in the morning, the wife takes over the bathroom so it just makes more sense for me to do my stuff at night and her in the mornings. Yeah, by the next morning, I have quite a bit of stubbles...but the SWMBO likes it better like that anyways...

I wake up at 4:00 and I am not always very awake then.
Shaving in the evening enables me to take my time and actually enjoy what I'm doing.
The growth overnight is not very significant in view of the better shave I get.

Been shaving at night for decades. Wouldn't do it any other way...unless I had to.

I've never run into a problem shaving before bed. I just happen to vastly prefer shaving just out of the shower, and I shower in the morning. If it better fits my schedule, I have no problem with shaving in the evening.
