    The Stoeger Double Defense!

Now you can hang all your tacticool crap off of an 18" double barrel shotgun! Woo Hoo! What's next, a Single Action Army with a reflex sight and some sort of under barrel Picatinny rail? Or will it have some sort of gas tap to auto cock the hammer?

I like new stuff and I like old stuff, each unique and appreciable for what they are. Don't give me some abortion resulting from the forced copulation of 21st and late 19th century firearms technologies.
A fancy coach shotgun. I had one but gave it to a friend.Nice size but too slow for anything but under the bed.

The SKS is the Gold Dollar of rifles. Cheap and not so pretty but it will gitter done. Lots of room for tweaking and modifications but I don't think the plaid blanket stock treatment does anything for me. And actually I don't consider a stock SKS all that ugly. Sort of a cross between an AK and an M1 carbine.

I agree, I had an SKS for a while. Pretty decent rifle, the worst thing about it was finding replacement parts. Not stuff like stocks but little parts, like the lever to lock the gas tube down. I ended up just putting a nut & bolt through it.
