    Default Hermes Concentre D'Orange Verte

Does anyone have any experience with this? I really like it but it seems to have poor projection and longevity. I have read several places that citrus scents generally do not last as long as non citrus based fragrances.

I was also thinking about trying EAU de Rochas Homme. I am determined to find a nice citrus fragrance to wear the rest of summer that has decent lasting power.

Have you tried Acqua di Parma Colonia? That one lingers fairly long on me so I thought I could recommend that one. Otherwise, citruses I know of don't last long.

I get 4-6 hours on my skin with Hermes Concentre D'Orange Verte. I haven't tried this one on my clothing yet, but I imagine that it would last all day.

Pretty weak for such an expensive frag. That is about what I am getting from it as well......

I love this scent. I find it lasts longer if you are out in the sun or running errands. Sitting dormant seems to make it fade.

As with all Hermes fragrances, you pay more for the brand than the juice, but it was worth the $36 I paid during Walgreens' After-Xmas BOGO Sale

I do too! Probably the best citrus scent I have smelled.

I have a decant, I find it very fleeting. I wouldn't even say 4-6 hours more like 2 hours. but that's how citrus scents go. doesn't matter the price, citrus oils are too volatile. in order to make them last longer you have to mix in some non-citrus element that carries on after the citrus fades. like the hedione in eau sauvage or the cypress and ylang ylang in eau d'hadrien which carry the longevity out much farther than would be expected for citrus. concentree d' orange vert uses patchouli and cedar (iso E super of course since this is made by Ellena...) to extend the orange fragrance longer than 30 minutes...but you can't dump too much in or you overwhelm the delicate citrus and it just becomes a barely noticeable top note...until they invent a new syntetic citrus compound that lasts and lasts, all citrus colognes will suffer the same problems...

I found it pretty fleeting and mild also. Smells nice, but just gets lost on me almost immediately.

    I'll second this suggestion.

Like the frag, not the legs- vanishes quite quickly, alas!

It lasts all of 5 minutes. Second the ADP recs.

Yeah, AdP Colonia and Colonia Essenza have pretty good longevity on me, better than other citrus scents. (I prefer the original Colonia.) Colonia Intensa, not so much.

I've only sampled it at Sephora so I can't comment on it's longevity. I liked the scent, seemed to be well crafted. Thought it smelled just like it's name and box colors. Orange and green. I like ADP assolutta. A little more citrusy than the original but longevity always seems to be and issue with citrus top notes.

It's great stuff, but even the concentre has poor longevity on dry skin. Try applying heavily on clothing, and enjoying it all day.

For a straight orange scent, it is tops. As with all citrus frags, longevity is an issue that I have come to terms with.

Monsieur Balmain is an indescribably beautiful mouth watering lemon, which lasts as long as any citrus fragrance I have, not too expensive and really stellar stuff. YSL Live Jazz also has decent longeivity.

I have gone through decants of both. Monsieur Balmain has pretty awful longevity on my skin. Live Jazz has pretty good longevity, but I am not sure how much I really like it.

Damn you Sir! Now I'll have to buy it. I've been thinking about it for few years now but I've always wondered about longevity.

It is nice. The lemon smells real....not a pledge lemon at all. But it is gone within a couple of hours (on my skin).
