ID:	263486 I am relatively new to the world of straight razor shaving and after buying an entry level strop to learn on, decided to buy a new better quality strop. I really was not in any hurry and was reading some of the forums when I came across a guy, M. Dillon who was talking about starting a strop business. I mentioned time was not an issue and told him to let me know when he got things up and running. After some time had passed I was contacted by Dillon's Hammer & Anvil Custom Strops and asked if I was still interested in a strop. I took a chance and decided to try one of his strops and support a start up company in the process. I can say I was pleasantly surprised, the leather is of the highest quality Latigo, the staining is amazing and Mr. Dillon went out of his way to custom tailor this strop to me, and added a custom touch just for me.

I started out as a customer and ended up developing a wonderful friendship in the process. Quality and customer service are of the utmost importance to Mr. Dillon and he truly takes pride in his work. My strop is one of the first handful to be made and I only expect his products to get better and better as time goes on.

This is the first I've heard of Mr. Dillon, but his strop appears quite nice. Congratulations!

You would probably know him better by the name Hammertime1 I believe. I've a couple of his strops as well. Robust beasties to be sure. The Illinois hit the garbage some time ago, as there's no comparison for function.

@Link: You're in Phoenix? Drop me a line if you want to go hunt hones out on the desert when it cools down!
