Gillette blades

Oh yes, I am so in love with blades come from St.Petersburg plant. All of those what I have tested work so smooth and well for me that I'm in heaven.
Great combination of sharpness and smoothness in every package. I got crazy and ordered all of them.
What is your order what you have tested?
1. Silver blue (clear winner) I put this in my Parker and got best bbs ever. Clearly compared to a great straight razor bbs
2. Permasharp (olive)
3a. 7OC Blue
3b. 7OC yellow
3c. 7OC green
4. Astra SP (SS is coming)
Only gillette goal didn't feel so good for me but that is another story because they come from another plant (India).
I was a bit suprised how close blue, yellow and green are to each other, especially for green what usually many people here don't like. Rubies are todays try and expect to go somewhere between permasharp and black's. Astras lose a bit about sharpness but nothing about smoothness. I hope my sample for voskhods, ladas etc comes today and be able to rank them at the end of the week. And more money spending is coming..
I was looking at the specs about those russian named blades and thinking that they might be the same blades in an another outside package.
Silver blue = Voskhods
PermaSharp = Sputnik
Rubie = Rapira plat +
Yellow = Ladas
Blue = Astra SP
Green = Astra SS
Anyway it's so interesting to test all of those because they feel so great. Maybe later I'll find slight differencies when usin all blades longer and with different razors, but who knows.

.... 7OC black blades come from india not russia. the blue 7OCs come from russia. Oh and Permasharps are also Indian made the 7OC super stainless come from russia.

Yes, sorry. I meant those dark blue one's which come from russia. Olive Permasharps are from russia like i wrote and Gillette green permasharps are from india. I haven't tried these green india permasharps. Olive permasharps are wonderful.

Yellow = Ladas
Blue = Astra SP
Green = Astra SS

Sputniks and Astras come from same Gillette plant. But Voskhods, Ladas and Rapiras are made by different company in Moscow. Still great blades though.

Thanks for that info. So do all gillette branded blades come from the same factory like sputniks and astras?

Those Gillette blades you mentioned come from St.Petersburg plant. I have no idea if those blades you compare are equal.
Rubie and Rapira Platinum packets look alike, but they're different blades from different companies.

P.S. are Silver Blues still made?

"permasharp" is a confusing term. There are green 7 O'Clocks (the brand) that are called Permasharps (the name, I guess). But then there are Perma-Sharp (the brand) Supers (the name, I guess). Very different and important to clarify which you are talking about.

Silver Blues clearly not equal to Voskhods are they are made by different companies in different factories.
