OP is definitely correct. Bought some and used it this morning's shave. All these years I thought drugstore AS was bound to be nasty and pedestrian. How wrong I was.

uh oh, I converted someone! I love the drugstore stuff! It's pretty much all I use. It's stuff from a bygone era that managed to survive. That was then they made decent things for good prices.
