    Default Super Max Blades? Is this a good deal? Are these good blades?

    On Ebay someone is selling 240 SUPER MAX blades for $18.99.
    I am wondering if these are good blades and if this is a good price for them

    (I am in NO WAY related to this vendor....I AM just trying to decide if I want to stock up my den with 240 blades!!!)

    I dont know if they are a good deal as I have never tried them. However if you buy em and dont like them I will buy 2 packs of em from you. BTW The aprox. cost per blade is 8 cents which equals out to 40 cents for 5 blades(which I belive is one pack). So for 2 packs with a 30 percent increase(to cover some of your costs but you could always do a higher mark up) they are worth $1.04 for 2 packs which makes this a good deal.

    @Elliot

    What type of Supermax blades? Are they stainless, super stainless, platinum, super platinum or titanium?

    It is an "OK" blade. I would prefer astra (green or blue) and even derby over this blade.
    IMO unless you have tried this supermax platinum before and liked it, buying in bulk may not be a wise decision.

    I have tried both Super-Max Platinum and Derby. Derby is the worst blade that touched my face. And the blades discussed here are "OK" blades. Not bad, but not exceptional either.

    Yeah - heard good and bad things about derby from many. It is so ymmv.

    When I first got derby, I felt it was really bad. Left it aside for a few months, and suddenly it worked well in weber, merkur HD and even R41. I think the improvement with the derby may be due to using less pressure (lessons learnt from the R41)
    ;)

    If one blade requires extra effort to work decently and other doesn't but gives +/- same result I will choose the second one But yeah it's a YMMV thing.

    I would never buy bulk quantities of a blade I was unsure of. Why not post a WTB on the BST for a few blades to try before buying a 3-year supply?

    I got a Super-Max Platinum as a mix sample and thought it was just as good as AstraSP or Personna Reds/Crystals. I was abit shocked I've been getting 5-6 shaves out of them. Check the reviews

    I got 200 of them and the quality seems good so far. Hell at 9cent a blade its a good every day shaver, but the same can be said for the others mentioned at around the same price.
