Default Strange Tea of the Day ...

Okay ... not too sure where I should put this one, but ...

I've had my first session with a new tea: "early spring 2012 'sun-dried buds' wild pu-erh" ...

It smells like a whole bunch of things, none of which I'd call "tea" in any sort of "what I was used to" sense. Maybe it smells like hay, or grass, or vetiver ....

Well, it strikes me as a bit of an 'acquired taste' ... but I'm starting to come around.

I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.

Any idea who produced it? Was it a bing or loose in a box or what?

Looks a little like the wet leaves of this tea

I got this on a whim a few months ago and it is great.

I've had the 2008 Dehong and similar teas. I like to brew it at fairly low temps 160 - 170 to try to coax out as much of the floral and heather aromas as possible.
