Exactly what I was thinking. Doesn't make much sense to me to get the sticks but then again I have never tried one.

That is pretty much the way it is with all shave sticks. I wouldn't just say you are paying for the packaging though. I am sure it is more work for Mike to form the product into shave sticks than to simply cut blocks into squares.

Quite a coincidence. I just finished making a shaving stick out of Mike's orange, cedarwood and black pepper about 15 minutes ago so I have not used it.
It's part of my "I'm tired of hard to lather soaps and I'm not gonna take it anymore" resolution.
