Default Pulled the trigger on Simpson's

I just pulled the trigger on the new Simpson's shaving cream. Marco made me do it.

Was this a joke referring to Musgo or are they actually going to release scented versions? If they are I guess I will have to buy one

They are supposed to be releasing some scented versions. I'm fine with the unscented. I usually can't smell my creams or soaps once they're lathered up on my face anyhow.

No no, according to Mark from Simpson, they will release 5 scent variants of the current neutral Simp shaving cream - just don't know when they will be out......

    So torn here...

Been looking at a 620 but if I get the Simpsons cream I simply MUST get a Duke as well...just to match.

I've been wanting something coffee scented so I'm waiting for the cafe latte.

Forget the 620. Mine got here today and I think it is an outrageously overhyped piece of junk. It's ugly too.

I disliked the 620... but it's not junk. It's well made... Just not balanced at all. It's all muscle, no grace. 1470 is a better designed brush.

I think it's a gorgeous brush. In fact I pretty much like the aesthetics of all the Semogues. Now, back on topic...

My Simpson's should arrive tomorrow. It's in the local distribution hub right now.

It's here! It smells sort of earthy. This is the unscented cream so it just must be the smell of the soap itself. After I have a shave with it I'll post a quick review.

Just palm lathered the stuff for a test. WOW! I used only the smallest amount of cream and I got tons of lather. Way more than enough for three passes. I'm not talking lots of thin lather either. The lather this cream makes is really dense and substantial, just how I like it. While unscented it definitely has some sort of natural smell, I don't know if earthy is the right description. Maybe just natural soapy. Anyhow, I'll post a more thorough review tomorrow in a separate thread.
