    Default 7 Months post-heart attack

I'm now walking 3.5 miles a day (and last Saturday I walked 5.5 miles in an hour and 40 minutes because I felt like it).

    I've lost around 30 lbs.

I have a long way to go but it's nice to see results.

Good job! I know someone who recently had a mild heart attack. He watched the movie "Forks Over Knives" after the heart attack, and has completely rearranged his life according to the advice of that movie.

Best wishes in your continued improvement!

I am guessing there is nothing like a heart attack to put things into perspective. 30 pounds is a decent amount of weight lose in 7 months. Especially if you started slowly after the attack.

Forgot to ask this in my first post, but do you mind sharing how you lost the weight? I lost 60 pounds last year by just eating healthier and eating nothing after 7:00 PM, but I have another 15 pounds to go.

Mainly giving up junk food and replacing it with whole grains, fruits and vegetables and lean meats. Nothing special. Junk food is now an occasional splurge.

    This, and walking.
